Um, running in software mode doesn't unpack the cache maps properly!
Hi _SF_,
just to let you know, I think you've done an awesome job, so please don't think I'm one of those "It should work perfectly, and when will it run this/that/etc!" Anyhow, a friend of mine made me a backup of Halo NTSC with his modded xbox, but he's on holidays now for the next 6 months(!) so I can't get access to the original cache files from the Xbox. I've tried running it in software mode first, and I get a D3D device error. Any help, _SF_ or anyone? I'll be a tester if that helps! I'm sure you get that a lot... My spec is Athlon 2600+XP, 896 Mb RAM, Geforce Ti 4600, 160 Gbs... Any debug info I can give you to help?

Re: Um, running in software mode doesn't unpack the cache maps properly!
This is, honestly, confusing. There needs to be a manual on how to get halo to work. Whether it's cache files or software rendering, it seems like a lot of people need a tutorial. SF, or anyone, if you could do that, I would bow down to you.
