Re: Xeon v1.0 released
Why don't we all just wait for some proof. If this is real then it will make a fantastic addition to all the great work done with PCSX2 and the GameCube emu that i've heard a few things about
. In the meantime patience is required .Tonyyeb |

Re: Xeon v1.0 released
>>_SF_, is this is real, why not merge with Cxbx?
I think thats a great idea. I know the two are a little different. But With the progress of your emulator and CXBX, you guys (working together) could make an emulator very fast.

Re: Xeon v1.0 released
I know. For a while there, Caustik was churning out the releases faster than a churning-out machine. With Caustik and _SF_'s knowledge combined, we might be playing commercials sooner than we thought!

I haven't posted on this forum since it was PSXEmu, but anyway, I have been in the emulation scene a long time, and recently became a part of the Xbox scene, and I am a moderator at www.xbox-saves.com and www.megaxkey.com just so you know I am not a troll.
THIS IS FAKE!!!! I tested it with an Nvida GeForce4 Ti4600, AMD XP 1800+, and DirectX9 I tried all the different settings in the program and not once would it work. It produced cache files, but that was it. I am sure others will eventually prove it too, but I just wanted to let you know, so you can all sit easy now.

Re: Xeon v1.0 released
This kind of mosaic garbage screen looks like the one I'm getting when D3D doesn't render anything to screen nor calls Clear, but Present (A function which shows the rendered stuff on screen). So looks like no D3D code except Present/Swap is executed. Someone should run a debugger/API sniffer on Xeon when it starting Halo and look especially for calls to D3D dlls (d3d8.dll, ...).
I looked quickly at the pixel shader source code posted by _SF_. The style is not the best, but it looks real. I can not proof that it is, although the sahder definition structure of the xbox is parsed, I'm not sure whether the code generates real working output (PC D3D Pixel Shader). (I didn't try to compile it). If I have time, I analyse the source code. |
