Avatar resolution ?

Isn't that 65x65 too small, what is the reason of using that resolution ?
How about increased it to higher resolution like 100x100 ?

100x100 is a wonderful idea!! But there must be a good reason why it isn't.

bandwidth, time in which the page is loaded, or maybe just a limitation of the forum

65 X 65 is fine .100 x 100 will also be no problem to me but I am not sure it will suit the administrators due to reasons given by samor.

Bandwidth ?
I already think about it too.
But, isn't that the file size of the avatar limited, whatever the resolution is, the maximum avatar file size still the same.

I agree. The point of messageboards is to see the messages, not huge images that take up half the page (as I've seen on more than a few sites).

well.... resolution is not a prob for me.....

but it would be good to allow "heavier" images (just a little, so you could post heavier screenshots and larger anigifs....

Neither the file size nor the file dimension restrictions won't be changed in the near future. We've gotten to the current restrictions with quite some calculation and testing, and it appears to be the best combination of size and fast loading times.

So, you want to see HUGE avatars? Go to Snes9x.com messageboards. (And no I am not dissing their boards).
