Lightbulb Just a thought

Has anyone ever sat down and created a more extensive read-me for an emulator? I mean, the read-me that came with my ePSXe is useful, but I haad to get a lot of the details from this site. Also, during my search for information, I am many times told to refer to another thread that has already discussed the question I ask. If there isn't one already, I think it would be helpful (particularly to newcomers) to have some kind of "commonly asked questions" section on the site, or at least something to find desired information other than the "search" option which generally gives you a myriad of "possible" helpful threads.

That's what FAQs are for..

I wrote an extensive one for ePSXe with Bobbi, then continued it on my own, and eventually discontinued it due to certain problems..

I believe Bobbi's written a few for other PSX emulators, don't know if they're that comprehensive though.

The WIP of the new version is still on my HDD ;p

Yeah, we're creating FAQs for that, but we're also using some nice new ideas with the next release of ePSXe ... a FAQ for the next version, updating and changing quite a lot of stuff has already been started and is waiting for more details about that version to be added

I'm not sure how far CDs FAQ is, but if he ever decides to release it, it certainly is extensive as well - but you'll have to ask him that yourself

Al right then. CD, I assume you still have whatever it is you have put together thus far.

DougDflute: Uh, that's exactly what CD said: "The WIP of the new version is still on my HDD ;p"
