Problems with the forums?

I've noticed some weird stuff going on here:

1) On the forums index, clicking the beside The_Z's name on the "Pictures of your new Games" thread brings me to a page that says "No Thread specified."

2) When posting a Quick Reply, i only clicked the button once, yet it acted like I tried to post twice.

3) The forums look and feel different.

Anyone else getting similar stuff, or am I just going nuts?

i think they are secretly adding new stuff. the alignment looks weird to me, like the posts themselves arent lined up with the top bar (and the post reply button) anymore. and try to quote someone; it automatically adds a link to the post you quoted. stuff like that. hopefully the kinks will be sorted out, i just noticed these new things this morning...

Let's say we upgraded to vBulletin v3.6.0 which adds many new "features". The look changed in many areas and some things still need to be worked out.
The error on the links mentioned in the first post is fixed now.

Good thing I found this thread. I thought I was seeing stuff as well. I went to take a nap, woke up and logged on finding the forum really different.

The Multi-Quote This Messsage and when you click on "New Posts" the words really seem to be bolded in a good, not complaining way.

I moved a thread, and it closed it.

The stickies and normal posts are not separated anymore. Not really an issue, but it looks odd and pretty ugly.

BTW: I happen to like the new darker colour scheme, but a few bugs need to be fixed.

Is there a list of all the changes anywhere ? Anything new to expect ?

What I've noticed:

1) New colour scheme
2) Multi-quote thingie
3) The "view post" in quotations. You can remove this by removing the semi-colon and post number after the name of the user you're quoting.
4) No separation between stickies and normal posts

Even without that brief list, you'll notice them. I hope that once the upgrade has been fully completed then Bobbi will produce a full list.

Darlings, the multi-quote and view post icons appear broken. Other than that, congrats for a fairly smooth change. Didn't realise it until I saw the multi-quote thing.

vBulletin says it has more for the future days.

Also, in the subscriptions in the CP, thread maker gets printed under thread's name.

A few minutes ago I was posting a news thread and suddenly the news posted itself on the forums right after I coppied the headline before the actual body of the news was in the box.

Ehh, what?

I'm still fixing things on every end of the backend, as many things changed in the update. Once I'm done, I'll catch up with news on the mainpage (oh, that'll be quite some work!) and also include a news post with some details what's different.

If you find bugs in the forum (other than those already named above), don't hesitate to reply to this topic!

[Update 1] Several missing images, the seperator for stickies/normal posts and two files previously missing have been fixed.[End of Update]

Hmm, are you supposed to see admin-only threads in the "view new posts" window (see attachment)?

It's been like that forever. I mentioned it a few times before.

agreed. the links are kind of an eyesore. any way to get that back to white, Bobbi?

otherwise, it's looking fantastic, some of the new admin type options are cool

and all the little glitches from before are working.

my only major complaint is one that's been around for seemingly forever (i made a thread on it)--the search function just seems to be out of wack these days. it's REALLY hard to find a relevant answer. it's tough to tell people to search for help, but the search function displays a crapload of threads. i want the old search back

but that aside, everything is great. we appreciate it Bobbi

White will be back soon (totally agree, way too much yellow at the moment), it's just a pain in the ass to edit all the different code pieces.

If you go a BIT more in detail about how the seach isn't properly working (what are you looking for, what's supposed to show up, what DOES show up however) I might take a look why it does that and if it's fixable.
