... *sigh*.

Although I wanted to clear things up with a new post, it seems like no-one is even interested in continuing this thread, or feels this is an 'argument' which is exactly what I wanted to get rid of. Never mind though... I don't feel like posting anymore anyway.

...yay.

You think Emuforums looks a bit messy? Don't blame me!

Sorry Thorgal but it looks like an arguement to me, also should this thread be closed still? I was hoping to get it back on topic. Speaking of which I do need to update my docs to 1.54, I started it last week when it was still 1.53 . Any other feedback would be great.

I didn't say it wasn't an argument, but imho we could've changed that into some sort of debate as there was enough to talk about. Never mind that now though..

.. to get back to the topic of the thread, I've reopened the thread so feel free to post again, and give Wormie some feedback

Quite a few spelling mistakes, since it's a public doc, might want to look it over..

Looks fine otherwise..

Just my thoughts, since im still a relative newbie with ePSXe:

That config wizard included with ePSXe 1.4 IMO was the greatest improvement from 1.2, and clearly explains the reasons what gpu and spu and other plugins work. Docs, meanwhile, can get pretty vagueand meaningless to most emulation newcomers when littered with jargon that 80 - 90% of newbies to emulation have encountered before.

So what i'm saying is that maybe further improvement of the wizard through translations or such is probably better than expanding/simplifying the readme doc.

Wormie's Pete OpenGL tutorial is a nice concept, and explains things clearly to the "emu-masses"...a nice start, Wormie. now if only i can find the link to it from the main page....

Hmmm

Quite the odd change in topic.... We have nothing against Newbies...We were all one once...although some here may believe they were born emulation masters

Wormie...The Doc looks great...possibly just generalize Pete's OpenGL GPU without the use of versions...It will only update as you add more..haha. If you wish for us to aid you let us know..

The doc can be found by entering the EPSXE main page...then look under "EPSXE DOCS"

oh, i see...but don't you think psxfanatics users would appreciate it if they could find the link at the left-hand list of the main page? just an idea from a regular visitor.

Yeah it is not final yet, still need to go over it again and correct a few things and double check to see if I missed anything. Also remember I am not an expert when it comes to these plugins, so if you see something that is not correct feel free to let me know.

Also I will see about adding some form of a link on the main page once it is complete. Thanks for the input.

Talking

Heh, was going through some old posts and came across this one. Just a reminder to those out there looking for support guides to head on over to our support center at PSX Fanatics ... http://www.psxfanatics.com/help

On another note, it has been over two months since this thread started, and I must say Bobbi, Thorgal, and crew have done what they set out to do. A lot of us didn't think it would ever happen a long time ago (well, things were totally different then ... even some of us, including myself ). I just want to congratulate them on their current success, nice to see people finish what they set out to accomplish. Especially considering this is how I got involved in all this psx emulation stuff in the first place when NGEmu was going to be originally created about a year and a half ago. We have all gone our own way, and have finally found happiness and success in what we love to do. Congrats Guys!
