...well, not exactly.

Kinda wish there was some kind of way to sieve out the influx of geniuses we've been having recently on the PCSX2 board. Like, "your IQ must be this high to enter", or summat along those lines. Just the main board, mind you. People with legitimate issues can still post on the two support boards. Maybe a pre-board, for all those with <50 posts / warnings?

I guess I'm just a cynical bastage, but seriously some of them have displayed such blatant disregard for not only the board rules but basic common sense (like, omg, reading the stickies?!) and plain manners ("me want, now").

Good to see there's an ignore feature, but I don't think the mods have that luxury (after all, they have to deal with the miscreants...), and one fine day somebody is going to be the last straw on the camel's back, although the rest of us sincerely hopes it doesn't come to that.

but yeah, i've often thought of a system like Honda-tech's forum, where you have "noob" status and can't post in some sections until a certain time period is elapsed.

people have suggested a quiz of some sort, or making them search for the right link (like have a big paragraph that you actually have to read to make a post). i dunno, you have to read elly's post to get into the PCSX2 section but people still dont check....sigh
