front-page glitch

The front-page is having some rendering problems for me. I'm using firefox 1.5.0.1. I confirmed the glitch with IE 7.0 beta 2.

Basically the four RSS style feeds at the top of the page aren't showing up as a straight line, but as a square (see pic).

I noticed that some of the graphics on the front page have been updated recently, so this may be a side-effect of some site maintenance that I don't know about.

i think Bobbi is playing with the ads that are displayed on the front page. in the left partt its now a square type add while before it was a horizontal type one that was under (or over) those links

Sure! You just cover the part on the costs of the servers, domains name and connections fee's that the ad's normally pay off. (on a yearly basis of course). If you do so Bobbi and the NGEmu community will be forever grateful to you

I demmand a chicken sandwich with mustard if I do it.Is it just by displaying the ads on the website that covers a part of the costs or do the users have to click on them?

the google ads are click based--the hosting site gets a tiny bit of money every time someone clicks on it. the graphic ads, AFAIK, just pay for display

The 4 boxes are supposed to be displayed like that ... the empty spaces are not supposed to be there, but I haven't gotten around to fix them yet.

Who would click adds in the first place? Am I hopelesly conservative to stuff like this or are they still the perfect way to get your pc infested with spyware and all other kinds of unwanted stuff?

Solely clicking on adds won't get you any kind of spyware (unless you have some serious security holes open, like ActiveX )

It would depend of the ad, now wouldn't it? An ad for "Amazon.com" would be pretty clean, but an ad for "hot sexy co-eds" would almost definitely be infected.

I don't like the boxes displayed like that, just my opinion. Anyhow they also don't seem to update anymore.
