New Forum Section Request

I'm requesting that there be a Music devoted area added to the Off-Topic Discussion. I, for one, have a lot of music related threads I want to post, but non of the areas are quite suited for it.

well the Off-Topic is there :P
I dont think they will add a music area since they would probably have to add a Movie, Anime area just too name a few. Emuforumsis still an Emulation forum and if there is too many sections then well it gets more confusing. nway, we'llsee what the admins think about it

apparently people have difficulty figuring out what "off topic" means. It's EVERYTHING that's not covered in any other forum. So if something doesn't fit in, off topic is the place.

having a Music forum will sound like we are some sort of mp3 portal, which we're not. There aren't that many music threads lately, that's why we have off-topic

I totally agree.

Off Topic is for Off Topic. Tat means Anime, Movies, Music, Politics, whatever! NGEMU isn't gonna change because of a request. The way it is set up now will probably never chnage. It is perfect IMO. People stop asking for this studd. Stop tring to categorize everything.

well its just his suggestion... its not like a big issue...

but I agree with Kirby, since this is an emulation-related forum, its best suit to gather those kind of topics in the off topic than categorizing them... the forum gives more importance to emulation related sections than off topic ones...

I think the off topic discussion needs something different than Politics and Religious threads. Some music topics sure won't be a bad thing. Let's just hope they don't turn into bash threads....

I know. But everybody wants to change it, not to mention requests for more admins, mods just to moderate those sections. Whats wrong with NGEMU the way it is now? Nothing. You have the freedom to go pretty much as off topic as you like with anything (other than pr0n and warez) So why do you have to categorize things? Simply there is no reason to. Thats all I was getting at.

well this is a thing that shouldn't be requested since its up to the admin staff to determine if they would need some and they would be the ones to do the picking

gah, it kind of bugs me when people are like "add a DVD section! anime section! babes! pr0n! music! potatoes!"...you people DO know that

1. there's an off topic section
2. there's other forums on the 'net that are better prepared. it's why i never ask questions about Adobe Premiere in this place....no one would know the answer

well if they are insistent of having those, they could try being a member to other forums to talk about it... and take emulation stuff, gaming and general off topic here
