It has always baeen not allowed. You have to use a different account. Why I am not sure, but it's just the way it is.

I think it's because banned people were using Hotmail and Yahoo e-mail accounts to set up new accounts on NGEmu. Both e-mail systems were abused so both were blocked.

Yup . Hotmail, Yahoo, Excite, AOL emails are banned because of the abuse as stated above

Yours,

Usually the one provided by your ISP is your best bet (except AOL, since it's chock full o' lam0rs)

Just remember, 1 person's actions may spoil it for the rest

naw that we don't mind. It's blocked to deter reregistration. Such a thing doesn't cause any issues.

I was always wondering why it was blocked. Infact it was that which kept me from signing up for a few months. But luckily I contacted Elly, because I thought he was a pretty active poster/banner, and he told me I needed to use my ISP account... so here I am.

Thanks again Elly!

I don't think anyones hotmail account would be able to survive through the 'someones replied to a thread you posted in' emails. My ISP account gets somewhat 50-80 per day. I had to make a seperate folder in OutLook express for it.

Aye well that's why I switched those emails off for myself . You can easily tell what thread are replied to via the "view new posts" option anyways .

I'm not certain, but I think I signed up with my yahoo acct.

Personally, I wouldn't use hotmail/yahoo/etc for extra board accts, it's too much of a pain in the ass signing up for the extra email accts (especialy hotmail). There are a number of forwarders that give you an infinite variety of forwarding addresses without having to sign up for extra email accts.

The blocks were just turned on recently. I registered with my Yahoo account also, but that was a LONG time ago.
