New Subforum: Anime ?

Since alot of our users, including many staff members, are devoted watchers of anime and\or readers of manga, i thought it would be nice to have an anime\manga subforum in the same group as the off topic and artwork ones .. just a thought . comments ?

if we did add a Anime subforum we would have to make many rules for it. Since more lam0rs would come, most ppl would post torrents for anime most of which comes from illegal torrent sites. we would have a issue with spam and multiple threads on 1 new release. and this is what ELly said so.... I kinda agree myself.

Damn you, I was going to post that myself. I am an anime freak and I like the idea, but I think the above reasons would make things harder for us, letting alone future requests of openning FF subforums and the like if we created an anime subforum

Creating new forums would lead to others wanting forums that they would want. Know what I mean? Like an art forum then a "insert subject here" one.

I think the Open Discussion forum is good enough.

i dont think an anime forum would be a good idea...there isnt much anime talk anyway right now, and yelo was right about a ton of more lam0rs, and it would just be a hassle for the admins, maybe you would even need to sign up more for it, blah blah...not worth it. if you want to chat about anime go elsewhere

No you see thats exactly what I mean. You can't change NGEMU around to suit one forum section. Plus it wouldn't be fair to people who aren't crazy about anime. This is a emulation and gaming forum and it will probably stay that way. I am dissing it. I am just saying too much change isn't good.

some people dislike graphic sigs, so lets remove all of ours and close the picture threads .. that makes no sense does it ?

anyway, just my suggestion, maybe it will get accepted maybe it wont *shrugs*

well, what if a bunch of people got together and said "you know what this place really needs? a place to talk about CARS!" well, a lot of people arent interested in cars (so i found when i posted the "show your vehicle thread"

) so it wouldnt be very popular. and contrary to popular belief, not everyone likes anime

I know that, but as far as i know alot of people, maybe even a majority of our regular forum users do watch and enjoy anime/manga. I just thought it would be nice if we can discuss that aswell.

anyway, there's no need to prolong this. the admins will make their decision and thats all there is to it.

Yea, I don't think it's gonna go myself. But nothing has stopped you guys from talking bout anime before? Just use the Open Discussion thread. It's there for anything non gaming/emulation related really.

It's a pity we can't have an anime forum, but the reasons exposed seem pretty logical. But what i really wanted to post is you became admin Yelo o_O? Didn't realize before! You weren't before i left, were you? Anyways, congrats! Seems like a good choice to me
