Exclamation Improvements to the site!

1

I think there should be a button at the top allowing you to return to the www.ngemu.com page, the only buttons on the main forum index link to the forum index, not back to the main site!

(unless I am blind, in that case call me an idiot for sure)

2

Is there ever gonna be a site map, I know u guys are busy, but that link has never worked, I think it should be either taken off (as broken links (or not working ones) look bad), its mis-leading)

3

Perhaps an FAQ section quickly dealing with issues that pop up constantly, (eg flaming FF7 battle swirls, etc) that cannot, or are not dealt with in the ePSXe (or other emu) help file. As these issues over clog the main threads and are simply annoying when people havn't searched the boards (though I am guilty to one or two instances of that myself)

Well thats M2pW, but it was just some thoughts that I had at 2.30 am!! and though this site is fantastic, is this area not meant for smart ass's like me to make comments!!!

That would be nice.

> point 3

They don't work. For the same reason people don't find answers by reading the documentation provided in emulators/plugins/etc., they don't find answers by reading an already posted FAQ. Heck, almost all of those problems would be solved simply by doing a "search." If the people who ask ask when a search would find it for them in ten seconds or so, why would anchoring a FAQ lower the number of questions?

There is one at the bottom ... placing one at the top leaves the question where to put it.

NGEmu v2.0

Can only agree to Ryos here.

with regards to point 3, I can agree with Ryos, I guess I am thinking people read, and search! Oh well it looks like its gonna have to be the same old questions then (luckly people do also post decent questions quite abit of the time).

Point 2> looking forward to NGEmu v2.0

Point 1> I never noticed it, perhaps it should go with the usuall 'user CP/Register buttons at the top, it would fit quite nicely there, and it would be far more visable.

Point 3 - How about when someone first registers, they will be taken to the search page (or a modified search page, welcoming the user, etc....) and they search for that topic, if they dont find a solution, they post about. If they do find a solution, they son't have to post about a known bug/glitch, whatever. How's that?

There are many sites that start to deal with problems in Point 3, but even when mention some people don't go there, or don't get it
