NGemu Useless Since the Interface Change

I used to check this website out every week or so for a chronological list of updates to emulators and related plug-ins for consoles that interested me - but, apart from the tiny blurbs on the side, it doesn't look like ANY posts regarding those subjects have been added since then...and those blurbs aren't even accessible once they've been pushed down as there's no archived list.

It used to be that I could browse to this website, click the name of the system I was curious about, and see a list of updates as far back as I cared to read. I could see what PCSX2 was doing, or which new N64 plug-ins were out, or what refinements had been made to ePSXe's GPU plugins, etc.

But now when I click on the various sections, it looks like the only thing new in the past year are just some basic, general guides about compatibility and getting cheats to work.

What's the point of this website anymore if I can't get news on it? Why ditch the best feature you had?

I don't get it.

To answer it short and simple, the ownership changed. The original founder (Bobbi) sold it someone (don't have their username offhand), who then sold it to a company/group (Crowdgather). That company has many websites/forums (check the link at the bottom of any forum page), and it you take a look at them, they all look similar. In order to adhere to their requirements/standards, the NGemu we all once knew was basically killed off. That's why everything changed (for the worse).

The core lies in the community behind the site, it actually always has. The old website was quite bug ridden under the core from what I knew. On the other hand, yes it did work quite a bit better and offered much more information to the people who weren't active in the forums.

CrowdGather is a social networking company, maybe that explain why the frontpage doesn't really fit the emulation either. Just bookmark the news submission forums section

You may just want to check out Emulation News Submissions Section whilst it's not quite the same as checking out a propper mainpage it's still better than the current mainpage.

Whattt?
You mean you can't access the forums from any other computer?

Your browser must have some problems, clean temp, cookies and cache files.

If that doesn't work, pm Chrono for help.

Have you tried accessing the site through a proxy site? I had to do so for a couple of months as well cuz the site refused to load propperly when I tried to access the site normaly, it just hung, or endlessly refreshed or threw up Gateway and other errors, but when accessing the site through a proxy everything was a-ok.

Zophars domain is updated daily ( more than daily on some days ) . It is the site I go to now for all my emu news.

I only come here for the noobs trying to get warez links ( and being shot down ) and the very very very occasional inteligent conversation between developers ( before it degenerates into a pointless arguement over something or other that neither side will try to entertain for a milli second )

Oh and I almost forgot the dudes who think they know what there talking about and post fifty times a day.... love those guys.

EDIT : Forgot the guys who pretend to have an interest in emulation but really just want games for free.

But seriously : Try Zophars for your new 'emu news homepgae'

Cheers!!

zophars domain is where i was BEFORE ngemu, but its way too crowded for my liking, with mulators ill never use or care about. the emulation scene i care about just doesnt have daily news. but yeah, ngemu isnt providing even that anymore.

I use RSS feed of the emulation news section of the forum. It makes it easier to track the new threads. Hope that helps.

You must have something in your hosts file. We don't even use cpanel anywhere on our network so this can't be our site.

Either that, or you have some sort of malware redirecting your urls.

ohh and as for Zophar's, please do not link to that website.
It contains illegal content and we do not in any way want to be associated with that.
