automated database backups possibly, these are usually very short, most usually only 20 seconds long.

i also get some errors. sometimes i get a page not found. and i cant access ngemu for some time but then it will work again a bit later. the other strange thing is if i use a web proxy like unblocked.org then the site works just fine even if i normally get the page not found without it.

Okay the server in some instances still thinks there are 2 users of the same name.

When you click on User CP at the top menubar and see all the subscribed threads, if one of those threads are one you replied in recently it'll be bolded as if another user recently replied in there, even if it was only you relplying.
If you then re-enter the thread you recently replied in and go back then go back to subscribed threads it will still be bolded. I guess because the server still has 2 instances of you. This only occurs 40% of the time so there is some factor involved I haven't figured out yet.

Another give away for duplicates of stuff is looking at peoples (eg my & hardcorerikkis) albums in their public profile there are 2 instances of every album.

Below are pics to visually show you what is occuring. Even after entering the thread for the 5th and 6th time after D.D. posted its still showing that there is a new post in that forum when in fact there isn't.

And yes I'll stake my life on the fact that I'm refreshing every single page and thread I revisit. Its obvious since if you look in the 3rd picture there is a new thread at the top of my subscription list.

Okay I figured out why this occured for me with 40% of my subscribed threads.

It only happens to bin threads. So some error is occuring there. Might have to do with since you keep the bin seperate from rest of the forum.

PCXL-fan: the "duplicate album thing" you mentioned is only the thumbnail pic of the album having the same caption text as the album itself. Rightclick on the top name, youll see 'view image' is available.
This is only vBSEO rewriting urls for albums as well.

Nothing unusual. post in thread, exit firefox then come back, the latest ones should be bolded even without replies. Not recent news, btw.

Mhh... btw, is the main site still accessible when the forum is not ?

Actually it is absolutely unusual.

The bold signifies someone other than you has posted an unread post in a thread.

Something new has occured: Well for the past couple days no matter how many times you enter a bin thread you posted in recently it would always stay bolded as if there is a new unread post.

Never happened before in any VBulletin based forum I've ever been to.

The occurence of boldening for such threads was there long before bin was open or forum was updated. Also for the reason mentioned. Just checked, again, nothing unusual.

They do not have a Bin.

But for the past 5 months I've been a bin regular much more so than you and have not once encountered this error.

This happened even before you registered. Again, nothing unusual or big requiring dispatching of squirrel squads ;P

Yeah, I've only noticed the bold link issue occasionally. I thought it was a firefox issue.
