Testers needed!

Hi everyone... i got some free time in the past few days and i was finally able to make some progress....

as you can see in the picture A.E.S is able to render a PSX game in the Main screen using a ePSXe instance in the background... using this trick i can(theoreticaly) render every emulator in the main A.E.S screen...

the main goal of A.E.S is unified most of the emulators around(if not all) and multimedia(Audio/Video) in just one simple application.... i know there are alot of frontends but this is a new way to manage things in an more advanced way.

so if you´re interested to help me a bit with your tests just contact me through messenger.

what i need are testers with the following Windows OS´s 2K or above (need vista users).

Greetz

well A.E.S isn´t compatible with Win98(Lack of GDI+) i think... you have the old beta so you can test it if you want
the only difference between the old beta you have and the new one is just the "Grab" feature which allows A.E.S to use a ePSXe instance in the background to render the games.

well actually as i wrote in my other post A.E.S is not limited to ePSXe only or commands as it doesn´t use any to control an application.... in fact i can render almost every emulator in the A.E.S main screen(full screen is possible too) so GBA and DS is not an exception

i haven´t fully tested yet but every emulator that supports windowed can be rendered in the A.E.S main screen.

Looks very nice, now that I read about it. Very cool concept of a frontend.

well is pretty similar to frontends and it works in someway similar but the concept is different....

the ways A.E.S use to control applications is totally different too.

actually i wanted to create A.E.S as an stand-alone Emu software... including internal emulation of consoles etc.... but it would take me ages to created because i don´t have enough time to work on every emulator(nes, snes, genesis,GBA,PSX etc.) i think that could be too much for me..

so i though there are emulators for allmost every machine available..... so why not unified them instead???
frontends tipically runs an application and send commands available by those.. that´s why they are limited to an small amount of applications... emulators like ssspsx,project64 that doesn´t have any commands are a big problem for frontends..

but that´s not the case with A.E.S as it does not send any commands, change registry or such things... a.e.s grab an application and take the control over it at realtime... but more than that it can configure any application at runtime... for example a.e.s will be able to change settings and plugins "on the fly" as we all know that´s not possible with ePSXe and many emulators... but a.e.s make it possible.

A.E.S is more like a Virus/hacking app made in pure API for emulators

got me now?

A.E.S are all my projects i have worked in the past few years(Emu-Selector,GC-manager,Media Player and more) all togher in one application... even if i unified emulators atm i don´t disclose the posibility to add internal emulation in the future as i´ll prepare A.E.S for that too right after the first release.

I'd be willing to test it to, just so you can get input from those with different hardware/software configurations but looks like you already got enough people who volunteered to test.

I'm running Windows XP and Vista 32-Bit atm with an Athlon64 X 2 @ 2.0 Ghz, an integrated Geforce 6150LE, 1024 Megabytes of Ram.

So what kind of testing do you need or are looking for? I'm no coder, but if the testing involves testing on different hardware/software configurations for bugs or crashes I'll be happy to help.

If you have room for one more, let me know and I'll contact you
via MSN to work something out.

Btw, I saw your thread in the bin on A.E.S rendering epsxe on an iphone GUI, pretty cool. Think you can make a Gamegear or Gameboy Render PS2 or Gamecube emulation as well for laughs.

of course you can contact me i want to have as many testers as possible(don´t worry you will appear in the credits ) to test different kind of hardware and bugs in that way i can make a.e.s compatible with different Windows versions

btw the picture you saw is real... a.e.s is actually rendering the game using an ePSXe instance in the background.

UPDATE: look the picture.
