Post Web Servers

I am thinking of buying a domain address for a simple site I plan to make. I have never bought a domain before, and need some help on how to "buy" server space or whatever. The domain I am buying is going to cost $25 (it is .org), but I was wondering if I could get something similar for the same price/a bit dearer - I would like to find something that has a domain and server space - php/mysql support and about 10-15Mb space - I am expecting alot of abusive comments coming back about prices, but I can expect things to br alot dear

Any help concerning this matter would be much appreciated

anywhere that offers php/mysql is going to charge more since these put a lot of stress on the server. i take it you want to make a messageboard like this one? if not you don't need these scripts.

remember, no one offers unlimited bandwidth. if they say they do, they are lying. messageboards eat up bandwidth.

I paid $19 to renew my last domain name.

you can allways use frames to keep the domain address up top and link your messageboard to another server.

Yeah, it wouldn't really be put under much stress, as it won't get a largenumber of hits - it is really just somewhere i can try out phpnuke (i will need a server that hasn;t banned it yet )

What is the price of the domain/server space - is $19 for both domain and space?

Never pay more then $15 per year for a domain ... go to http://www.directnic.com
You will have total administration control over your domains, unlike the network solutions crap.

As for the host there is many sites that list hosts by price, features, and other categories of interest. Here is a few for you to check out.

Here is a few I grabbed off of google
http://www.findwebspace.com/Search/search.asp
http://www.tophosts.com/
http://www.simplythebest.net/hosting/

search for more sites similar to these if you don't find what you need.

the domain name itself is affordable...webspace is usually very expensive though
