A totally new website of mine

Well, I guess atlast I have been able to make something toleratble, many of you might remember that I made a site named, ALIs-WORLD, which sucked. Now I made a new one which is called ALIs-WEB. It is not complete yet, can you guys please check and tell me how is the main layout.

Popups are evil. Hence another site provider would be recommended. The interface has strange blurring going on whenever I move the screen up or down. A couple images in a few sections might be nice, because only text boxes isn't particularly pleasing, especially when you see only those in quite a few sections. I'm not saying to put many, just maybe one every now and then. The color choices are perhaps not the best, although that may just be me. Looks pretty good for a start, though.

Very appreciable tips from Ryos.......thanks man.....well Im am gonna put some images. Currently as I said that the website is under construction. I published it just to ckeck that how do U like the main layout. Thanks again for the suggestions........very helpful indeed.

As far as the download section is concerned it will take some time. I have to transfer the files and then I will lauch the download section.

One more help that I need is in the boards.....can anyone tell me where can I find a host whoch is compatible for YaBB, or board Iknon........!.....cause I think YaBB is not compatible with Tripod.......if you think it is then can U help me in that respect....!

maybe MetalMurphy can help u. he's using (on his Script site) boards just like these. If u see him online ask him...

Optionally, you could also use ezboard, which is kind of like ikonboard, only you can host the forum on their site and have to use ads (unless you went with the pay service, buwahaha). I'd really only do that if you don't track down a site you can use one of the above forum styles (not difficult to do), since ads are terribly annoying.

I'd REALLY rethink my color scheme. Maybe make it match the banner/logo thing on top which BTW is cut off. You may want to resize it.

Ryos I went to proboards......they give premade forums........so I made one......but this is not the purpose of mine.......the main purpose of mine to make this site is to learn.........I love to learn.......I am trying to learn something......!......so I thought web designing is the best.......although I am studying Charted Accountancy..........but my interest in computer never lacks.....!

What I want to do is to activate this script of boards by myself........but one thing that I don't know is that what is chmod......I mean.......how do I set the chmod permissions.....cause usually the servers are using Unix/Linux.....! and i am just a big losser in them........!

Thanks for the comments.........actually these are base colours.....I am working on photoshop to make good bases for them.......that would do some good..........Im also learning flash 5.........I got a CD named........."Learning Flash" I forgot the authors name.......I'll mention it sometime else.........just in the basics.......I will put flash buttons........images etc etc..........!
