ASP.NET Configuration Dilemma
I know there are a few ASP.NET devs out there on these forums like kairi and Badaro so hopefully somebody can answer my question. I've sort of run into an issue on how to setup my machine.config file. Earlier, I dropped the trust level down to Medium, but then experienced some problems when I went to install Windows SharePoint Services so I had to up it back to Full for the time being. I've experimented a bit, but keep running into problems whenever I try to setup a <location> element that defines the trust level for the SharePoint site and then add an additional blanket statement by ommitting the path attribute that adjusts the trust level back down to Medium. If I enable allowOverride for the SharePoint site, it just picks up the blanket statement, but if I set it to False, that results in an error because it can't override the directive in the SharePoint site. I've made sure to enable impersonation and the SharePoint site has its own application pool, but I just can't seem to get one site to use a specific trust level, while blanketting the rest of the sites in IIS with another trust level. The only other alternative would be to individually configure each site in machine.config, which would be a pain.
Does anybody have any other thoughts on this?
