coding an emulator

Does anyone know where i can find information for making a simple emulator? I know this page http://www.goldroad.co.uk/chip8.html but i was wondering if someones knows an other page with more information?

Well, it isnt as simple if you are going to code a console or handheld system, anyways, www.zophar.net has quite an ammount of Technical Document that you might wanna take a look.

zophar is a good site but i don't know how to start i want to make something simple to see how emulation works

you need to learn C++ or C programming so go here and download both Volume 1 and 2 of this ebook(their in PDF format), should be all you need to get started.

I know the basics of c/c++ how to do classes and strucks but i will take a look at this tuturial because you never know enough there will be always something new to learn. Thanks for the link

Plus you probably need to know more than just the basics, alot more. You should probably learn a little bit of assembly too, trust me it can reeeaaalllllyyy help. Np on the link, its my pleasure. The Chip-8 emulator is probably a good place to start, I went to that link and I'm already programming my Chip-8 emulator because I want to get a better knowledge of emulators, and plus it sounds simple and fun. So thanks for the Chip-8 link.

I am learning C at the moment & I'm interested in emulation too.Want to make emulator together?
Cos i start scool soon i wont be able to make much,but maybe to learn from u,if u can send me sources in most steps u make and how u begins.Later maybe i will have more free time after few weeks and maybe will help u.Good Luck for now

me and ready2rumblex started an emu but it never lifted off the ground and we don't really have time for it
