Can anyone give me the Code for disabling right clicking?

Hi, does any know the code for disabling right clicking? If so, can you give an example and tell me where to put it in the code.

In addition, anybody know how to stop users from selecting text and copying it?

If anybody has some info, I would be very grateful.

That site has alot of HTML things, even though it seems a little old and the craphics are cheesy.

Why do you want to disable the right mouse button ?

Do you want to keep all people who swapped the left with the right button, away from using your page ?

To "disable" the right mouse button is really stupid, because every function in the context menu can be also accessed over the browsers menu ... it's just much easier to use (like the "Open in new window" function).

Rule of thumb: once your webpage is up, ANYONE can view the HTML Source. Nothing you can do about it.

Ok I almost have it.

This is where I'm at. I have disabled right clicking. Now I need to know how to disable the Left and Right at the same time.

If you REALLY need to disable the Left button, just use a different button code, no? button = 2 is right button, button = 1 is left button.

if its stealing your pics then it wont help you.

For the start page use the no right clicking code (so they can't right click)

Then at the all text part of the page disable both types of clicking

hehe.. i did alot of Javascript on one page on my site called "
Evil". It detects your internet connection speed and forces you to download a file evil for your connection. And you can't exit, can't right click, until you download the file and execute it. Muhahahahaha!

You may also want this to protect your images.

EDIT: You need brackets at the start and end.

That disables IE6 Image toolbar, the thing that pops up automatically on images. Overall there is no real protection, if the person knows a little info, they can have your image if they want.

that script is possibly the best script out there to stop right clicking. it works for mozilla and IE. and it even stops the keyboard right click.

In my country, there is a site that don't even will make you able use "save as" command. The result will always said that "this page can't be saved". For right and left click, also not working. You want block the text [usually to copy the text with keyboard Ctrl + C]... not working too. The site is www.*censored*.com. I'm not sure if I can post that site here, since it will break the rules. But I can sure you that what I said here is true. Nice job if you can make it like that .
