Alpha FastSearch

I'm programing an open source single-site search engine in Perl using DBI to interact with a MySQL database. It will feature HTML templates for a truly customisable search results page which fit into the design of the rest of the site. As it is programmed in Perl it will be platform independent. It will be tested tested on a local Windows server and on a remote Unix server. If you feel that you can help in any way, do not hesitate to contact me.

For those who are interested, the SourceForge project page is:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/alpha-fsearch/

And my website is at:
http://alpha-fsearch.sourceforge.net/

Re: Alpha FastSearch

It will support multiple syntax (AND, OR, NOT and maybe XOR). Custom templates. Web based admin. META scanning. And more...

Re: Alpha FastSearch

hmmm... i found this great search script. try phpdig.toiletoine.net, i think its the best free search engine out there only problem is... SOOOO HARD to install, how bout making somethin' as good as it but make installation and configuration sooooo easy. THAT would beat all search engines out there.

Re: Alpha FastSearch

That is a good search engine. But, I plan for my solution to be easy to install, customise and use.
