Smart Filtering (GPU/GS plugin authors should really check this out)

sourcecode is free for download; this could end all the "2d is ugly!" threads. also, the author claims it's even faster than bilinear filtering.

It's probs faster than software bilinear filtering, but remember pretty much all graphics cards these days support hardware accellerated bilinear filtering

Kane: you have a point, i didn't notice that comment 'till now.
anyway, 2xSaI is Kreed's copyright, so it couldn't be the same. plus, just look at the pics and you can tell it's not the same. i recognize Kreed's filters anywhere.
