Please rate my site!

Hi there! this site was the very first site i ever done in my whole life 3 years ago , and was dedicated to my favorite japanese anime, Detective conan. So after 3 years, i look back at what i done and ask you for your opinions and suggestions. What do you think? should i continue working on it? what can i do to improve this site?

Here are some areas to focus on:

That java applet animation needs work for the front page.
You need a better animation intro. Personally I would get rid of the intro all together. It just sucks bandwidth.

The menu bars doesn't line up.

Do you use geocities HTML editor to create the page?

I don't like anime... :thumbup: Looks good, but I would try a different kind of wallpaper and ditch the notebook stuff. Perhaps lose the intro too. Just keep working on it and you will get better.

um........not as an insult, but i think Flash, Director, or stuff like that would make the overall page better. For example, you can make the intro in Flash (or take it out), make the menu in flash, and probably do something about font sizes and general layout.

If you have LOTS of time, maybe you can try and perfect your skillz on Dreamweaver. It's one of the coolest web page maker out there.

I think you should scrap the intro animation.. looks childish...

I would also suggest that you put the counter on the bottom part of the screen, fix the menu bars to be properly aligned...

but I like the spiral notebook background... and also the download section, very interesting... keep up the good work...

But seriously, flash is OK for some things...though at the very least, if you do use Flash menus or links, make sure that you also have text navigation to the side or somewhere, so people that don't have Flash enabled, or using text browsers (I navigate with Links (Linux text browser) sometimes!

And if you really wanna be a 1337 page coder, use Notepad or vi to make your pages

Uhh,...I didnt update my site from 3 years ago!!! i just kept sigining in and out once every month to keep the site running,...otherwise, this site would change Alot. I programmed this site using html language,..i might try xml later, but i ll just stick to html for the moment. I was planning to dump this site forever, but i posted this thread to see your opinions, so thanks for that!!

well some anime is like that... they have only a plot for one episode and the next episode is different...no continuation...

detective Conan was meant to be for Adults in the first place bacause it featured murder crimes and other sort of adult stuff,....i really liked how the artists feature conan as a smart kid who can solve a crime wisely, but as the story goes on, it doesnt seem to have an end. Just more crimes appear and conan solves them all, thats it.....................
