I was thinking about making a site to practice my HTML skills, so I was wondering if ne of u guys had a suggestion for a good web host with lots of space, unlimited bandwidth, and a FTP upload cuz I wanna write my own HTML, not use those hokey online sitebuilder things. thx.

www.tripod.com, www.geocities.com (both suck)
www.f2g.net (php, perl, ssi support)
www.spaceports.com (same as f2g, additionally mysql support)
All of them *should* have ftp acces.
I can't think of any other right now cos I am very sleepy.

BTW, if you want to make something "real" you'll have to pay for it. Free webhosts usually aren't any good.

I just want something as "real" and good as I can get for free, cuz, as I said, this is basically just a site for messing around.

It's always possible to practice simple HTML right on your own machine Internet Explorer renders local html files just the same as it would one off of a remote server.

Doesn't your ISP offer some web space? I don't know about you but I had dial up a while back which offered 5 MB of space and my current one offers 5MB per user.

Yeah, I know Earthlink gives me quite a bit of space. You might want to look into that...
