Burning question #1: why does GStudio look like a blatant DeviantArt (http://www.deviantart.com) ripoff to me?
[edit] As for http://epeta.net/epeta.asp, three things: - how's the flash counter been made? it looks extremely familiar to me, but I can't remember where I've seen it before.. - the colors are cool, kinda weird that I can't seem to right-click anywhere on the page though. - several links such as "livid" result in one of those flashy windows, I assume that's dhtml but I guess it's awfully incompatible for older browsers...

thank you for visiting my site.
i'm very pleased with all your advice. as you saw, my site called G-studio looks like deviantart, this sounds not very good. but i'd like to say, as a computer art learner, i like deviantart very much, it's designed pretty fine. so i copyed some of its style. but the core is different, deviantart is based on PHP, but mine is based on ASP. it's still on the road, these days i 'm working hard with it, both asp and database. it will be completed by the end of february. really, i'm so glad to see, some friends visited my site. it's my happiness. about that flash counter, it's based on a CGI program. if some of you wanna it, tell me in http://epeta.net/gbook, i will post a zip package here ![]()

actually, it would be more accurate to say the Romans copied everything from the Greek culture in their premature phase, after they had a 'basis' they continued to improve it and give it their own flavor, making the old, Greek culture kinda inferior when it comes to technique.
I don't see that happening here though. Even though the core is different (how could it be the same...), it's the front-end part of the site that visitors notice first. Aside from the fact that all deviants will find it look awfully familiar, imho it's simply 'not nice' to copy a site to such an extend, to say the least. Your other pages seem to look fine though... I'd say you have enough skills to make your own, original design for GStudio. I suggest you use 'em. As for the counter script, yes I'd like to check it out... did you make it yourself or is it 'pre-made'? In case of the latter, the url of the homepage will do (unless there isn't any ofcourse). Oh, and you'll have to excuse for not posting in your guestbook, but registering to a Japanese guestbook for just this goes a bit far imo.

thank you very much!
ya....i'd love to take your advice, specially thanks Thorgal.
http://epeta.net/files/flashcounter.zip the url above is that flash counter. download it and extract it to a directory. and then insert this line into your web pages, <embed src=counter.swf?cgi=count.cgi width=121 height=60 type=application/x-shockwave-flash bgcolor="#B0B5C7"> </embed> notice, bgcolor must be modified to fit your pages. and also, i'd like to say, that's not a Japanese guestbook, it's a Chinese one. not all double bytes characters are Japanese. |
