UAC Internet Explorer version 1.0 first look...

Hey guys, after so long time I think it's finally time to show you at least one screenshot from the UAC explorer so I made a small video that shows you how the UAC looks right now.The video is not really showing anything special except the UAC main window look.Anyway I put it on youtube so you guys can watch it.Also remember that this is just a beginning so don't expect it to be done any time soon

I just wanted to note you that UAC is in VERY BIG development these days...

Found it

You know you could have fit that 10minute video in into 30 seconds.

that didn't look like a video.

that looked like a 10 minute slideshow of 5 pictures.
and 1 of them being the UAC program

Hum...What's going on exactly? Does UAC rule the I.E issues about boxes? (freaking padding issues?), the fact I.E doesn't handle correctly some tags like label?

First of all the video is too long and showīs nothing more than few texts and at the end few pics of what it looks like a messed up GUI...

second to answer RedLionīs question... i bet heīs using IE control to browse the pages so it should have the same problems as IE.. but if you ask me IE has a better GUI donīt get me wrong S.T.A.R.S. but showing a video with some texts such as "The Internet Explorer of the year!" and having a GUI like that i donīt think you wonīt go far... sorry but someone has to tell you the truth.

with all that i donīt want to take you down.. but to make you realize that there are few things you have
to change in order to get it working better

one of those things is the GUI.. and judging by it i donīt want to see the code behind that app if you ask me anyways i hope
you will get it better one day.

Well, the thing is that this is the third (at least) time S.T.A.R.S. has announced his own take on Internet Explorer. If I recall correctly, this browser of his was hardly more than a skin of Internet Explorer with some trivial extra features and an insufferable GUI.

Alright, fine. In all honesty there's nothing really wrong with this; S.T.A.R.S. is trying his hand on some programming and putting things out there.

What is bad is that he's been met with criticism on every release and, at best, does not acknowledge it. This, along with his claims of it being the "Internet Explorer of the Year" and so on, is why NGemu forum goers are less than impressed with his work.

And looking at the video and its contained "screenshot" (in all honesty, I hope it isn't really what the browser looks like), I'm going to have to agree with Kirby.

All of this reminds me of another fantastic piece of software that has been released in recent months.

Well its different. I'll give you that. And you say it will make internet surfing 'more fun'.

I can't remember the last time a browser was that much fun. Why not turn browsing into an actual videogame? Then it will be even funner.

i'm going to have to remember your ideas pcxl.

that has huge potential if done correctly.
just enormously hard to program.

I always imagine that Windows OS itself it's gonna be like 3D In-game playing, while browsing or dealing with files and folders or running apps, just like sci-fi movies where computers OSs looks like Project IGI in-game menu .. I mean Instead of the normal GUI that uses GDI, I prefer OS that uses DirectX from the time it boots.. I think when running video games, it's gonna be easier for developers and players, since this gonna eliminate several problems with Compatibility, Speed , even modes switching and software designing, since you can implement direct commands to draw on screen, because you are running already inside DirectX API.. well, just a thought

well vista had potential, but it was implemented bad.
doesn't mean the original idea is bad though.
