dead forum <> dead period

I have noticed that this forum has become "dead" recently. Do you think there is any particular reason for this ? Maybe it isn't needed anymore, maybe ?

Well I was hoping it would be used more for questions regarding web development so I could pass on some knowledge ... but it seems it never caught on. So if you guys feel that it needs to be closed or made into something else feel free to leave your comments and I will get it taken care of.

i don't think it would be a good idea to close it down, but maybe convert it into a "Web Development/General Programming" forum would be a good idea ?

so converting the forum by just adding another topic (General Programming) is a good idea ? does anyone have any obligations against this ? or even another suggestion as to another use for the forum, or something you would like changed about other aspects of the forums ?

There was once a suggestion about a forum on savestates/memcard saves, wherein you can post stuff there ala Screenshots section. I dunno if its a good idea, since savestates are quite big, but its up to you guys.

This board has a plethora of forums already, I doubt we'll be adding any soon..

Changing this forum to something else could work. Just a 'Programming' forum that would encompass all forms of development maybe..

What I am about to say doesn't mean to offend someone, this forum would have been a good success if the questions asked were answered. I remembe opening a threadr asking about popup menus, no answer. I don't remember that to whom I sended a private message and there was no reply, I just forgot. So what happens this forum is useless, and I consult other sources, I found another forum which answered all the questions. And even recently when I asked a person a question he replied to me saying that rather then learning something from here do bla bla bla!..I will not mention what he said.

Hrmm, I agree that this forum is in a slow period right now, however take look at the stats first: 678 posts in 45 threads, I wouldn't call it 'dead' when you see it that way. Otherwise, we could just as well remove all the other subfora which also have less than, say 700 posts. And you can't count those on one hand, believe me.

I have no objection against changing it to "Programming/web development" however, in fact I think it's a good idea. If everyone seems to agree with this then I'll change it right away.

On a side note, I think it might be better that if you have a question which belongs in this forum, be sure to start a new thread and be specific when it comes to the topic, rather than posting it in "My latest website............. [part 7]"; you'll never get an answer that way. And remember that programming/web development takes time, thus it takes time before people having something to show, for example.
