Question client-server applications in Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition?

I'm sort-of a n00b in regards to programming, but I recently got Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition, and I can't figure out how to make client-server applications such as chatting programs, etc...
I'm familiar with VB6 winsock 6.0 commands, but VB2008 is different.
Anyone got any tutorials or something about this?

there might be some Control you can add that lets you do something similar to winsock.

but i'm not to familiar with VB2008

Oh ok...
Well, considering VB2008 is new, there probably aren't that many tutorials for it (except for microsoft...)
I can still add Microsoft's Winsock Control 6.0, but the commands are different.
For example, instead of "winsock1.listen()", I write "AxWinsock.listen()". As simple as it looks, there are some commands that are WAY different.

mmm, that looks to me like the functions are the same, just that you're naming the control something else.

But they probably changed some stuff, cuz i think the Long Ints and other Variables have different byte-sizes from VB6 to VB.net.

anyways, you should be able to find a tutorial for VB.net that shows you how to make a Client-server app.

i bet VB.net and VB2008 are pretty much the same.
