i heard turnin' off the audio also helps, but me not sure...
i have a amd 550 k-6 and it still runs some games slooow w/ vga ;( imo playin' gba games on a computer takes out all the fun gba offers, so personally i use it juz for demo testin' purpose newayz daz all i gotta say

Very true lizardj. For some reason I never like using emulators for portables, it just doesn't feel the same.
