Audio Problem
Hi. We have a new PC and I tried using Visual Boy Advance with it. I opened a game and it works ok. But when I change any configuration, save state, load state or just click anything in the menu the game starts producing loud buzzing sound. It goes ok again once I do anything of the above again but it produces the noise again once in a while.
I was using the same version (1.7 beta3) that was in my old pc so I tried downloading a newer version (1.8.0 beta3) but I'm still having the same problems. Anyone know the cause of this problem? It's very irritating. BTW, the PC I'm using is (in case needed): Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz 1.87 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM OS: Microsoft Windows XP (service pack 2) DirectX : 9.0c Video Card: GeForce 7300GT

probably you saved using another version, of the same version (sounds strange XD) i mean, if you was using a kode54 build for example, and load a quick save from the normal one, you'll get some strange sounds. maybe it's the problem.

Nope. It also occurs once I click anything in the menu bar. I've tried 3 games already. Kingdom Hearts CoM, Super Robot Taisen OG2, and Harvest Moon. And those are freshly downloaded, no saves whatsoever. Still it produces that bzzz sound. I don't know what's happening. I've tried changing different options but no luck. Like synchronization etc. Even tried it with and without BIOS.
BTW, other Emulators like ePSXe work fine.

Which build are you using ? The latest official 1.8.0.3 beta ?
If so, I suggest you to try a different one like Vba-S or Vba Re-recording You can also try tweaking the sound settings such as low pass filter and frequency to see if it makes any better |

I tried tweaking the sound settings already but it didn't work.
btw, I'll try VBA-S and VBA re-recording. Never knew such build existed. EDIT: VBA re-recording does it.Well, it occured once but at least it doesn't occur that often anymore. thanks. hehe. VBA-S fail though.
