VBA 1.8.0beta3 Sound and Spacebar problems

Hey I was using VBA 1.3 with pokemon emerald. The sound worked fine and i could speed the game from 100% to approx. 300% by holding the spacebar.
I just downloaded VBA 1.8.0beta3 so I would be able to fix the corrupted save file at the end of the game. When I play emerald in VBA 1.8.0beta 3 the image and sound is gliche and when i hold spacebar the game remains at 100% but gets even more gliche.
Does anyone know how to fix these problems?

strange, only the 1.8 (final) has sound problems... about the speed toggle i don't know about it... maybe is your pc?

what's your pc specs?

there isn't a 1.8final... the latest is still 1.8 beta3, which doesn't appear to have too many issues except for a few rom issues where the timing isn't emulated correctly.

well... in the help window says 1.8.0 (size 1044KB i think it was the latest build by spacy) XD i have beta 3, no problems there for me

yeah i just discovered that a bit ago

the latest wip build from august has broken Megaman.. so use the one from 20th june/july
