are you using savestates or are you trying to save the normal way? is your error message coming from the emulator or in the game itself? if its the emulator producing the message have you tried getting the latest version of it? if its from the game itself, is it stating its "corrupted" or does it literally say "save error"?
i know thats quite a few questions but i cant really help until i get a better idea of what your seeing. i havnt used VBA in a while but this might fix it, go to the options tab at the top, open it and you will get a pull-down menu. go down to the sub-option "emulator..." its the 3rd one down. open that and another pulldown menu will appear. in the new menu, look for the option called "directories..." its the 2nd one down. either hit the "reset" button next to the "save game" line or try adjusting the directory the emulator keeps the saved games. if that doesnt work the next thing to try is to go back to the options tab, go back into the pulldown menu of the "emulator..." tab, and look for the tab near the bottem of the menu called "save type". try playing around with the different options in that tab. on my emulator, the only boxes that are checked are "automatic" and "flash 64K". try using the settings i have and and see if it does anything. i think the memory thing has to do with it being set to the wrong option, and i remember using a patch for the games so that could affect it too. im not sure though its been awhile.

If you have a 64K save in your save directory, setting the save type to Flash 128K will not work, as the invalid 64K save will still be loaded. Delete the old save, start the game over with the save type set correctly to Automatic + Flash 128K. Also, verify your rom image with GoodGBA or No-Intro dats.

ooh troublesome eh,
is ur .sav file in the directory as ur rom and emu or have u changed ur emu since you changed from 64k to 128k i.e. did u upgrade ur gba emu after converting flash64k to 128k, if you have then do it again with ur new upgraded emu. |
