Need Help with Pokemon Emerald...

Ok, this is about saving in Pokemon Emerald while using VBALink

When using the regular VisualBoyAdvance emulator, it lets me save after the elite four by using "vba-over" file

I tried to copy that file into the same folder as VBALink, but it didnt let me save
It gave me the "The save file has been erased due to corruption or damage" message

Does anyone know how to get VBALink to save?

If not, is there an alternative GBA emulator with Link capability that lets you save?

no$gba
but .sav of vba link not get loaded by vba 1.72 happend to me,
and vice versa
