I installed Wine, and after some fiddling, got VBA to "work" in it. It was enough to do the one cheat I wanted to, but the graphics and sound were flaky. Thankfully, VBA savestates are compatible between Linux and Windows.

that's too bad, not that I needed it just wanted to know for sure. it would be nice if some linux developers could join forces with the vba team and make a gtk version of vba with cheat support, too bad I don't know how to program at all.
