Exclamation what about a GL filter???

i read that visualboy is using some nice features from snes9x - like
2xsal, super 2xsal , super eagle
why not trying the gl bump??
it could speed up the emu !!!!!!!!!

if you have an nvidia card you get direct draw filtering automatically which is IMO the same with GL filters that snes9x uses

i know the graphics would be almost the same, but using GL, it would render throu hardware, speeding up a little the emu!!

even with hardware acceleration crappy cpu's still cause bottlenecks and will get you no where

2d filter with nvidia cards doesn't cost anything.

Yes but bumpmapping does. its like a 3 pass filter, and theres some calculation too.... Only newer generation gfx cards(i.e. GF2+ Raedon ) that can do it in hardwear...
