Famicom Mini Super Robot Wars 2

Hey all. I am having some issues trying to get this to run, it's got the standard Famicom Mini/NES classic protections on it. Is this case hopeless or is there some way I can get this to work?

Afaik, you have to set the save type to EEPROM manualy. (Or was it another save type ? )
