Leaf Green Trouble

Hi, On Pokemon Leaf green I just deafeted the Elite 4 and the game saves, but I've been saving in the shift+F1 slot and now I have the proper save working I read that I must remove the original saves, I tried not to but I cannot procced until its saved, and it would take me a while to get back to where I was.
Is there anyway to get the proper save working without removing the old saves?

Removing saves? You shouldn't need to remove those save states. Just try to continue normally.

Iv'e Tried it says "Save error Please exchange backup memory" but when I don't load state the save works normally but I don't want to start a new game

Is the error in the game or in the emulator?

What emulator are use using?

If in VBA, have you tried changing Flash to 128k?

Have you tried using an older version of whatever emulator you are using?

No, I have the Save game working on vba on automatic 128k but the save don't work if I load a save state from before the saving worked and I need it to work on the bit im up to on leaf green

Right. I get your problem now. You're only option is to start again. If you want to keep your pokemon, just load up your savestate in VBALink and trade it with another game.

u dont have 2 change versions of vba, and dont even think about starting over as thats no solution at all.

first make a copy of the entire folder (u should have the demo and emu in a seperate folder )

iv heard of 2 way 2 solve this and dont know which one might work 4 ya . but after u make a copy of the whole folder containing the demo and emu.
(so if u screw up the saves ur safe as u have the original copy unTampered with.)

the first is deleteing the save file that vba makes (the one that vba makes the first time u load something), i dont know weither its before loading the software or after but iv been told that, that works 4 some people.

second (and prob the most probable) there might be a patch that fixes that.
im not really sure as

its hard not to confuse rub/sapp , Fr/Lg , and emerald. as all had similar problems.

there prob a patch out that fixes that problem. but i dont remeber if it was for Lg/Fr.
