Fake Linking - I don't really wanna but I wanna....

I'm playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and through linking this little moogle dude gets cool items in his shop. However I don't actually give a rip about linking with somone, I don't even know anybody else who has the game. I just want to fake linking so that he'll get items in his shop.


Is there anyway I could maybe fake a link? I heard there was some VBA link program, think I could just copy my VBA folder and open the program 2 times and just link with myself? How would I go about that/Where is VBA link?

Ah crap, I downloaded VBA link but I get that Version 9 error. CRAP. This is gay, is there ANYTHING I can do or do I have to wait until somone updates VBA link to be compatible with the newer sgm files?

Now on to how to link:

First, make sure you have the following Options set:
Real Time Clock = Active
Pause When Inactive = Inactive

You need two emulators (Both with the VBA Link) and both must be set this way. Next, make sure you are using the SAME ROM, but NOT the same save file. Most games recognize this (Such as Pokemon) so you won't be able to link. As far as the error is concerned, I have never experienced it, but I will poke around with options and the debugger to see if I can recognize your problem. If this doesn't work, let me know and I will think this through more thoroughly. If you could, tell me the EXACT number of the ROM your playing, and if it is from a site that has the correct GBA ROM files for each version (Such as DGE). I will download your game, and test it myself.
