1024x768??

I hope in the near future the authors of VBA would implement 1024x768 resolution. I want to experience games in total full screen.

yeah but doesn't that just stretch it full screen with the aspect ratio of 800x600?

Ya it does but when you use one of the filters (Super 2xSai) you can't tell the differance...looks real pretty.

Next version will have support for full screen mode selection up to 4095x4095 if your video card supports it.

Can you say overkill . Thats good news though!

But The Vagrent is right, with one of the SAI filters on it doesnt really matter what the rez is; pixels are all smoothed anyways.

Then don't use them. Or are you saying that Forgotten should remove them just because you don't like them?

I am curious. How is it that when one uses resolutions from 640x480 onwards 2d graphics have little improvement in image quality?

Where would the information to improve the quality come from? You can only do so much with pattern recognition.

What Kane is trying to say is that if you display something (eg. a photograph or a 2d game) at a higher resolution than what it was originally made at, it will become pixelated because there is no extra data to clarify more pixels to be colored. For example if one pixel is black at 320*240, four pixels will be black at 640*480(double the resolution). This makes the picture look pixelated at higher resolutions, as in the picture below. Graphical filters like 2xsai and supereagle will try to correct this problem by smoothing the graphics.

Since I play VBA with the pixelate filter on, it makes the pixels smaller and to my sight , the image looks more detailed.

Gameboy games aren't supposed to be played in high resolutions in the first place anyway lol.

Yo, Captain! Your picture doesn't make sense? Since I play ZSNES and play Megaman X and I play it on 1280x1024 and the graphics DO look better, and they don't look like your picture. There is a reason that people "keep aspect ratio" because it makes it look the same in size only in better detail.
