Faster GBA??

Any chance that there will be a more optimised code and therefore faster VBA?? Because some of freidns played VBA with their laptop with a PIII 733Mhz computer and still lagged a bit. ( 3X Screen )

Edit... However we discovered that when we disabled DDraw emulation only the game actually run very fast.... why is that??

be sure to enable ddraw use video memory, it speeds it up a lot (only on 16bit and 32bit colordepth). anyway, as any emulator, VBA is always evolving, and probably gaining speed with every release. but one thing is for sure: using 3x video slows things down like hell. play it with 1x video, and turn on frameskip. and disable vsync.

If your video card has poor hardware support (E.G. lack of hardware scale/stretching), then those operations can be emulated, or, done by the CPU.

Try the SDL Vboy emu version, if you're looking for speed

VBA will probably get only faster, and if you use the SDL version, like Phoenix said, you will get extra speed (probably). Just download always the newest VBA.
