It seems that you are using the VBoy 1.0 version that had issues with save states and sav files as well. Download the 1.0a here http://vboy.emuhq.com/downloads.shtml your problems should disappear if you try this latest version

They may not work because they could got corrupted. Get the 1.0a VBoy version and try, maybe your savestates work. You won't have problems with the latest version. Remember, if you want to preserve your progress make normal saves because sometimes save states files might get corrupted

the "normal save" I mean, not save states, are the saves you do like if you're playing with an original GameBoy Advance. It's like if you save your progress on a PSX, saving your game on a memory card, got it?
The savestate as you know allow you to save anywhere, at any point, something that you can't do with the original consoles. The kind of saves you can do on the original consoles are the save type I mean. |

Actually, let me correct one thing: save states are less prone to get corrupted than normal saves.
On version 1.0a, there is another battery/normal save bug: if you play an EEPROM save game, then all the following games will be saved as EEPROM and that's a problem for the Flash/SRAM save games. This will be fixed in version 1.1 and you can workaround by closing the emulator after playing an EEPROM game. Forgotten |
