Savestates don't work at all (VBA 1.0)
Well, thats the problem:
Loading savestates doesn't work in VBA 1.0 anymore. No matter if I use old ones from 0.91 or new ones, nothing happens when I load them :eyes: And if I try to load one a few times (3 or 4 times I think) the emulator just quits without a word. Theres not even an error message. I've tried with 0.91 again, but there everything works as it should. I've already read, that an update for VBA 1.0 is coming soon, but it is said that "Save states work without much problem" so I just thougt there wont be much work on the savestates, because only the battery files are said to be corrupt. Well, I hope you can just take a look at it

Current version may create some problems with savestates.(I think that post about update for vba meant the same).
Last of the post says "beware with your saves" so they definitely are working to sort out the problem.

There is a problem with battery files, not save states.
The website is down, so I cannot post any message or read my email. If you have a problem with a save state (.sgm), please email it to me. As for the problem with battery files, it only happens if you don't have a battery directory set on the emulator. You can fix it by selecting the battery directory (under Options->Emulator->Directories...) or wait for the updated version. Forgotten |

@forgotten:
Well, aparantly there IS a problem with the savestates, otherwise they would work, as they did before ![]() Again it's the savestates, not the battery file. When I load one (it doesn't matter which one or from which game and if it's old or new) there is this little "Loaded state x" at the bottom of the screen, but nothing happens. No crash, no error message, the game just continues like before. If I do this a few times the emulator just quits to Windows, again no crash, no message etc. as if I would have closed it manualy. |

The problem with save states happens because you don't have the directory for save states set under Options->Emulator->Directories... Just set it to the same directory as your roms and you should be fine.
Loading them directly should work (from Load... instead of the key bound option). Forgotten |
