Unhappy Please help me!

Hello
I,ve a P4 1,7 and a Matrox G400 and he games in Vboy Advance are blurry but not in other emulators.
I've made a lot of things: Changin the depth color of my monitor from 32 to 16, switching Direct Draw emulation only.....but nothing works.

The weird thing is that in the last release (0.91) the games were not blurry but after a week more or less this f**** efect came back!.
Anyone knows a solution?

You probably got 2xSal screen filtering on or some other filter. change that to normal in the Filter menu

My monitor depth is 32bits so there is no filter activated but there's a mark in "normal".

The emulator doesn't let me to activate "DDraw emulation only" (That would be the solution) but it does with "Video memory only" (Blurry again!)

What resolution are you running the emulator at? im not sure if it can go over 640X480 but if so change it to 340X240 or whatever the lowest resolution for fullscreen is on the emulator. You must remember the GBA runs at an extremely low resolution so when you run fullscreen it has to stretch the image and it could give it a look like MS paint give a bmp file when you stretch it.

Some graphic card will automatically enable video filtering, you can try disabling DirectDraw Acceleration in dxdiag, of course, it'll kill your fps a lot.

Sorry for the delay at answering.
It's strange because the other day the emulator screen was not blurry again but now is back!
With 1x theres no problem but with higher resolutions or streching the screen with the mouse I'm getingt the blurry effect.
When I started the last version (and some days ago) I could do anything with the screen because there was not effect but why it came back?

Let's clarify this:

The blurr effect comes from your video card, not from VBA. There are different ways to overcome the problem:

- use emulation only: cannot be used with video memory also selected
- disable hw acceleration using dxdiag.exe
- go to fullscreen mode 320x240
- use 2x mode with a graphic filter like TV Mode
- use the SDL version: no blurring

I will try to make this a little more easier on a future version but it needs some rewriting on the Windows version.

Thanks a lot Forgotten, for the tips and for your awesome emulator.
My Matrox G400 makes weird things sometimes, today there were no blurring and I didn' do anything
I tought the problem was the Z buffering being enabled but today it was enabled and there were no problem.
Anyway I'll try the tricks if the problem returns (It will)

-The problem is that I cannot use emulation only. It only lets my use video memory although somedays  I can use emulation only

- disable hw acceleration using dxdiag.exe

-Does it affect other emulators? It's trustworthy?

- go to fullscreen mode 320x240

Seems to be the only solution, but I liked playing in window.
I think Fullscreen is faster isn't it?

- use 2x mode with a graphic filter like TV Mode

hmmmm i dont't like this filters. it looks worse.

- use the SDL version: no blurring

I used it but theres no gui and the Aldos frontend is not good enough. I cannot use the joystick and the sound is choppy.
