the only problem i have with the overworld is it runs slow. but playing with frame skip will fix that. of course, theres the shaking, but isnt mode 7 really hard to hack?

The skaking on the world map is not an actual problem of emulation or mode 7, etc... The game does because of the way the GBA LCD works. Try using the motion blur filter to see how it should look (without movement of course).

One option to get rid of the problem is set the frame skip to an odd number.

That happens with me too. Maybe it's because of the huge world and the GameBoy Advance is having trouble coping with it? It goes all slow with me and the sound slows down too.
