LoZ:oracle of ages, gba features

I've been trying to get the GBA features for
The legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, but nothing seems to work.
I don't open the game through the gameboy, I just click file> open....
but it doesn't give me the features of the GBA.

Any ideas?

Assuming you are using vba-m; before you open the game, have you try going to Options>Gameboy>GBA?

Ah, yes that worked. It seems that I was trying to do that while the game was running. Thank you very much.

Auto defaults to the following.
GBA titles = GBA
GBC/GB titles = GBC + GBA audio core + popfix.

be sure to enable the popfix in the audio config screen as that is specifically targetting the oracle games.

They said that the GBA is the future...
Spoiler:
Yes, it had good games, like Golden Sun, TLOZ: The Minish Cap, Pokémon R/S/E, various remakes of Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Mario and Luigi: Super Starsaga, etc. But now, the future is the NDS.
