Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django Patch?

I'm becoming progressively more angry with Google and Yahoo! search. I've been looking for a solar patch that actually WORKS on either the US or European (though mainly US) versions of Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django, and these things have turned up crap every time. Every patch I've used is a failure.

Thus, I turn to you for assistance. I'll make it very clear what I'm looking for:

-works on VBA 1.7 or higher
-fixes the solar sensor
-(do I need to list this?) SAVE-FIXED!!!
-for the US version (if possible)

I've been searching for so long that I've have to ask: does this kind of patch even EXIST? And if it does, why can't I find it/WHERE can I find it? Please help!

Just use no$gba, it emulates the solar sensor these days.

That's because you are not using Google correctly...

Yes, there are patches for USA and EUR version with those features.
There's the Rising Sun patch for USA version and >>Hiei-YYH's patch<< for EUR.

I leave you a link to download the EUR patch.

I have the USA patch but i have to search for it on my backups.
It will be faster if you just search again adding "Rising Sun" to your search parameters...

Otherwise, do what SCHUMI_4EVER just said.

SCHUMI_4EVER: I am aware that no$GBA emulates the solar sensor. However, no$GBA also hates Boktai; it slows the game down at random times and makes the music/sounds all pop-like. This might not seem so bad, but if you're like me, you like to listen to (and in rare cases rip) the game's music. That, and it's irritating to constantly go into the emulator menu and keep setting the Solar Sensor sensitivity. So I'm trying to avoid that if possible.

es3ado: I've been seeing accounts where the Rising Sun patch works on the American version, and I have used it, but it just IS NOT WORKING for me for some odd reason. I've yet to try the EUR patch, but I'd rather stick with US if possible. Any idea what could be wrong with the US one? Emulator settings, buggy ROM image, etc?

....core support for the solar sensor should be in vba... now it just needs to be worked into the gui.....

Are you referring to VBA-M or the normal VBA? I would think there were plans to implement the solar sensor into the emulator, but if it hasn't been done by now... come to think of it, why hasn't it? :/
