Save files between computers

A friend of mine sent me a save (.sav and .sgm) file for Super Robot Wars OG2. When I tried to load it (ensuring names etc. were correct) I got the following error - Unsupported VBA save game version 1867482839.
Anyone know what to do?

As far as i know, it can be two things that might be causing this:

1) Your save type configuration does not match the save type configuration of those save files.

2) You or your friend is using an old version of VBA. I think that VBA 1.4 (and older versions) save files are incompatibles with version 1.7.2

If is 1), try changing save type configuration on VBA before using/importing those save files.

If is 2), you'll have to use the same version of VBA or you won't be able of using those save files.

states made in 1.7 aren't compatible wiht 1.6, which are then not compatible with 1.5, etc.

this make me remeber my old time , when i accidentally replace my lower version sav with the higher version from my friends T.T


this like other appc save which the higher save file will not recognize by the lower version application, like corel draw
