i have a serious problem here. I tried to use the download link to VBA-over.ini v1.0, but when i click on the VBA -over editor v1.0 released im coming to the site where i is written but when i click on download here i get to the VBA -over editor v1.2. and when i try to use it it wont start. please help with with a link to download vba-over.ini.

if the vba-over.ini doesn't work you need to download a different version of vba
vba-over.ini will work if you download vbalink180b0

The fix worked for me

but my VBA says in red at the bottom of the screen "Loaded Battery". Why is it doing that?

vba-over.ini doesn't work can anyone explain.
When I open VBA and look for vba-over.ini it doesn't show up.
My Q: Why?

Obviously you would first have to download the file and extract it to VBA's folder first.

OK I can't for the life of me get this to work. I understand exactly what you guys are saying and I'm extracting the file directly into my vba folder and NOTHING happens! I tried changing the save settings to flash128k and everything too but that didn't help. I've installed plenty of mods and savestates before so I'm not computer retarded and I know how to copy and paste something onto my vba folder.

EDIT: I started downloading other VBA versions and the fix seemed to work for VisualBoyAdvance-1.8.0-beta3. I mainly downloaded this so I could battle online, I'm not sure if beta3 has online capabilities and I couldn't find any information on beta3 other than someone in a random thread saying beta3 was broken in some aspects.

beta 3 is broken in a number of aspects, and there are no official vba releases with linking capability.

i think the major problem here with ppl with the vba is that they don't know what you mean by directory and mistake directory for folder!!
like i had a trouble doing this. i thought copy the vba. ini to folder would do it but you need to start the vba emulator
go to options, emulator, directories then i just put my folder of all my roms for the directory for the ROM section. then everything else i put the folder with my vba.exe and my vba.ini. and it works fine.
hope that helps even a little!!

Directory = Folder.

vba-over.ini goes in the VBA Directory/Folder, what you have said has nothing to do with the issue.

Hi,

I tried everything this topic says and nothing worked! Well actually some methods worked but the only problem with either of these methods is that they cannot fix an existing save state file and I dont want to start over the game since I dedicated many hours to it.
I tried these methods (I erased all data execpt my save state obviously)
- To create "vba-over.ini" file... with the correct settings obviously! :P
- To IPS the game (Yes I checked the Automatic IPS Patching)
- To save with the Flash 128K option but it continues saving as 64K. (Yes I checked the Real Time Clock Option)

Please dont send me 1emulation.com links since Im not a member and the forum doesnt accept any more new members.

I'll really appreciate your help. I have a rapidpoints in order to create a free premium rapidshare account for the one who gets me this problem solved. If you need y savestate file pm me.

we're in the research stage of a battery repair patch, try out some other non pokemon related games in the mean time.
