The XAudio interface failed to initialize!

I reinstalled Windows XP a couple of days ago and the XAudio2 output on VBA-M doesn't seem to work now, I have the latest DirectX version installed and everything, any suggestions?

Same problem with me, only that I'm using Windows 7 RC.

Didn't have at the time. So yeah, no problems with getting XAudio2 starting anymore.

Hm, does that mean software developed with a newer SDK revision of XAudio2 is NOT backwards compatible to older runtimes also claiming to be XAudio2??
