C# applications under older versions of windows...

I was wondering if maybe some of you know will windows applications made in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 C# Express Edition work under older versions of windows? Like Windows 98 and 2000 Professional for example?
After installing the .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher application works on XP,but will it work under older Windows?...(They should work on Windows Vista).

Well... Mono (an open source implementation of the .NET framework, including C#), is available for Windows 2000.

.net applications should work just fine under windows 98 and 2000 as long as you have the .net framework installed.

i haven´t tested myself.. but i work almost everyday with C# and i do believe it works.

.NET plataform 2.0 requires IE 5.0 or above. If you meet that, i think you can install it just fine.
